Mediation & independent Investigation

Employers have an obligation to respond to complaints of harassment and bullying from employees. Increasingly employees are prepared to consider informal routes such as mediation. The success of mediation depends largely on the skills and experience of the mediator.

We are able to provide skilled and competent mediators who will ensure that a resolution using this informal route is given the best chance of success. Typically mediation equates to one days work in total (including preparation, the mediation session(s) and report to employer). This service is provided at our daily rate of £550.

Independent Investigations

There are times when the alleged harassment and/or bullying is so serious that an informal response is not appropriate. Employers can be held liable for harassment and bullying experienced by employees so it is essential that serious complaints are handled well.

When a formal investigation is called for then the best practice is clear, an impartial (independent) and trained investigator is called for. We are able to provide experienced independent investigators to complete this difficult task. We make ourselves familiar with your organisations policies, structure, practices and management procedures prior to commencing the investigation.

Our independent investigators remain focused, professional, sensitive and impartial throughout the investigation, delivering the report to the deadline agreed. We are not only experienced in dealing with the formalities but also the emotional aspects of such investigations.

Typically independent investigations equate to seven days work (preparation, interviews, investigation, comparison of evidence and writing the report). This service is provided at our daily rate of £550, so a typical independent investigation costs £3,850. If you have used an independent investigation service before, you will appreciate that our service is very good value.

If you haven't used an independent investigation service before you may think this cost is high but rest-assured it is very competitive - most of our competitors charge so much (up to £1,000 a day!) that they won't even display their charges on their websites.
